Roope Heinonen
Trainee
Roope is a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business Administration and a Master's degree student at the University of Vaasa, majoring in business law. In addition, he is a law student at the University of Lapland. Besides business law, his studies have emphasized economics. In his Bachelor's thesis, Roope examined the development of corporate responsibility regulation in the European Union and the effects of the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive on companies.
Despite his young age, Roope has diverse experience in the business world. He has worked at an insurance company as a claims handler for legal protection claims, which has provided him with a vantage point into numerous different civil and criminal cases involving both private individuals and companies. Furthermore, he has a background as an entrepreneur, in various B2B sales roles, and in customer service in Finnish, Swedish, and English.
Roope's interests extend especially to mergers and acquisitions, corporate responsibility, and contractual law issues, but also to business law in general. Roope's experience and his commercial and legal education help him to understand companies' legal questions from a business- and customer-oriented perspective.
Currently, Roope assists KPF's lawyers in a variety of business law assignments and tasks.
