Tax Specialist, Audit Assistant

Marjaana is a multi-talented professional in tax law and accounting, with extensive experience from both Big4 auditing and the practices of the Finnish Tax Administration prior to joining KPF. She offers expertise particularly in corporate taxation, accounting, and business restructuring. She also serves as the accountant for an association, which has provided her with practical experience in non-profit operations as well.

Marjaana combines a strong theoretical foundation with practical experience. She holds a Master of Administrative Sciences degree from the University of Eastern Finland, majoring in financial law, and is currently continuing her studies in business (accounting and business law). In her studies, Marjaana has focused specifically on business taxation, inheritance and gift taxation, company law, and accounting. In her Master's thesis, Marjaana examined the impact of the Limited Liability Companies Act on business taxation.

Marjaana has diverse work experience, which gives her a comprehensive understanding of corporate business operations and financial management. Marjaana has previously worked as an audit assistant at one of the Big4 firms, providing her with practical insight into the business operations and accounting of various companies. Her experience covers a wide spectrum of entities, from micro-enterprises to listed companies, as well as different corporate forms (limited liability companies, housing companies, foundations, cooperatives, and associations). Marjaana also has experience with the financial management of clients operating internationally in Europe.

In addition to auditing, Marjaana is interested in business restructuring. She has participated in issuing and reviewing statements related to business restructuring as an auditor's assistant and has also independently reviewed them.

Before her auditing career, Marjaana worked at the Finnish Tax Administration (Verohallinto) with personal taxation and tax pre-collection, which brings valuable insight into the authorities' operations and tax processes.

Furthermore, Marjaana has years of experience in customer service roles, giving her excellent interpersonal skills, even in challenging and fast-paced situations. Thanks to her versatile background and practical experience, Marjaana is a strong expert who is committed to handling assignments diligently and listening to the client.

Marjaana assists the firm's lawyers and auditors with audits, special examinations, and tax law assignments. She works in Finnish and English
