If you are in need of a legal assistance, you may be eligible for legal aid. Legal aid means that you can get yourself an assistance, wholly or partially funded from state funds for the purpose of dealing with a legal matter. Legal aid covers all legal matters. However, legal aid will not be granted if legal expense insurance is available to cover the fees.
Legal aid is also not granted for applications, divorces or tax issues. In non-court cases, a municipal counsel must be used as a representative.
Getting legal aid depends on the applicant's available income. Income also takes into account the income of the spouse or common-law partner. You can check if you are eligible for legal aid here.
If you want us to represent you in court, we will look after the application for legal aid on your behalf.
